It has been a late spring, with record amounts of snow in many parts of the country. My sister's farm in Maine is still buried in snow, and lots of other friends who live in Northern states are still coping with the white stuff too.
So I thought I'd take a few minutes this afternoon to celebrate and share all the spring wonderfulness here on my farm.
Take a deep breath, and say, "AHHHHH, Spring!"
And, of course, the best part of spring, new lambs!
This is Umber, who was born this morning. See all his fancy flashing spots on his face?

He is a big boy. Looks like he's already at least 4 or 5 days old :-)
Yep, he's definitely bigger than the previous two lambs who are a couple days older than him.
Things are beginning to green up here as well. We had record snowfall last month. The water table here in Ohio is the highest it's been in 50 years! Hopefully this means no drought this fall.
That Umber is one handsome fellow. Judging by the size of his leg compared to your hubby's hand, I'd guess he's a pretty solid baby too. I hope you decide to keep him. He's got a cute face and I love his eyes.
