In case you were wondering, heating vents are not for heating your house.
This is what they're really for:
All of our heating vents in the downstairs of our house are at floor level.
We have eight cats with very warm bellies. :-)

Cats do know where to find the warm places, don't they. Like tucked in beside you at night, so you can't move in bed.
